Worst time ever...

I choose the worst time ever to start a blog.
I literally don't have time for anything lately. As I said earlier we are moving and I have only one week left to finish packing, cleaning and purging my house. Don't get me wrong I'm really happy that we are moving but I'm also terrified. We are movin from 3 bedroom house with garage to 2 bedroom apartment. Amount of boxes that are already packed scares the hell out of me. How we are going to fit it all over there? I dream about unpacking and sorting the apartmet every night. I'm tired, angry and I'm looking forward to the end of this experience. We will return stronger then ever, I have so many new ideas for DIY projects and posts about organization. I can't wait to have time for all of that. I'm also planning to write post about moving tips - it will be up soon I promise :)

Every time I look at these pictures I think only about one thing - apple pie :)

Couple of people have asked about Philip clothes so I decided to write here where did they come from.
*Top - Zara
*Jeans - Kappahl
*Hat - Zara
*Shoes - Converse

DIY - Happy Birthday Banner

This is such a easy banner to make and so beautiful once finished!
Materials needed: book pages, scissors, black marker and black crayon, twine and scotch tape.

I've used a damaged book that I already had at home. I trimmed the edges, folded down bottom of each page, drew the contours and filled them up. Later I use the scotch tape to stick each page to the twine.
That's how easy it is:)

My Birthday Boy

It seems like minute ago I was baking his first ever birthday cake.  And 2 years ago I was holding my sweet little bundle of joy for the first time.  And now he's 2! When did this happen?

He has changed so much over the last two years that sometimes it's hard to believe this is the same baby :)  I will give everything to be able to hold him and kiss his little head for the first time all over again.

Happy Birthday my little men! I love you more nad more each and every day.
You are the best thing that ever happened to me, you changed my life for the better in so many ways.
And those blue eyes of yours melt my heart everyday.

Tired Mama

My weeks have been crazy since we decided to move and with Philip's birthday two days away it got only worse... the only time I have to write this blog is now, it is 7:05am. The guys are still asleep and the house is so quiet that I can hear my neighbor snoring :)
No matter how much tired I feel and how many times a day the "Mommy! Mommy!" I hear I never would trade any of these moments for anything else. One day when my house is too quiet and Philip is off doing his own things I will miss those times and I'll do anything to go back even for few minutes to hear his tiny voice calling me every 5 seconds.

I  treasure each moment because one day which I'm sure will come too soon  he will be all grown up and call his mama only once every 5 days. I hope ;)
So we're going to sing a song, dance for a while, jump and do everything this little creature wants because I want him to have a good day, I want him to be happy. Dishes, floors and laundry can wait they are last on to-do list today.

Stop whatever you're doing and go spend the day with the little ones that call you Mama. You are the everything to them make them your everything for today. Hugs from tired Mama... :)

Native language.

At the beginning I decided to write a blog in English but my family asked for blog in our native language so here it is - The Daily Life
I don't know how I'm going to manage two blogs at the same time but I'll definitely try :)

Mushrooms anyone?

We slowly say goodbye to the good weather, warm weekends, sunny days.
We are somewhere in between summer and fall.
Now is the time for the last walks on the beach, wandering for hours through the woods, playing in the park and family expedition into the unknown.
But this is also time for mushrooms :) When I was a child I loved those weekends in the woods, we had to get up early I mean really early 5-6 in the morning and drive to this special place that my grandmother discovered years ago. Me and my sister we could run through the woods for hours and hours and we had a lot of fun. I want Philip to have those memories too.
So to the forest ... Anyone seen mushrooms?

By the way - after years and years we know which mushrooms are edible and which one are not and we don't let Philip to eat them.

I won...;)

I won... I found a way to smuggle fish into my son diet :)
It was a long and bumpy road and no matter how many times I've tried I always end up losing it.
Philip is a good eater he likes almost everything, on his dislikes list you can find: potatoes, tomatoes, strawberries and fishes.
I honestly don't care for the fruit and veggies I can easily replace them with something else but finding the way to smuggle fish was really important to me. This week for dinner we had lemon sole with rice and veggies.
Philip loves rice so I decided to slice the fish into small pieces and mix it up with rice. I couldn't believe he ate the whole thing without a fight.

Philip's Closet - Autumn

When it comes to clothes I have only one rule - Comfortable.
But comfortable doesn't have to be boring. There's so many clothing brands that we can choose from, so many colors and patterns.
This year I decided to add color to Philip's closet. Green, orange, red and blue colors that make me smile every time. But I didn't chose my favorite colors I chose the ones that Philip likes the most. When he was 14 months I noticed that orange is his favorite color. He showed the biggest interest in orange objects, he wanted to play with orange cars only. So when I saw these orange Zara leggins I knew that they have to be ours :) We pick up some other things to and that way the wolf top and green jacket found a new home.

Besides Zara I buy clothes for Philip in few other places. For instance Kappahal is my go-to place for jeans.
They are very good quality, it doesn't matter how many times Philip fall in them or stain them with grass, mud or any kind of food after wash they look like new. I also pick it up some tops that will look good with every kind of hoody and I loved these colors.

At this stage of life Philip is completely in love with dinosaurs so the Lindex top was perfect addition to his closet on the other hand I'm completely in love with stars patterns so I simply couldn't resist these pants.

Zezuzulla is one of the brands that I like to call "Hard to get".
It doesn't screams on us from every billboard or magazine.
Brands like Zezuzulla are unique and produced in small quantities,
people who design them put their whole heart into every model.
And most importantly these designers are mainly moms. Who knows better than they what's best for childrens? I come back for more every season
and I can't imagine Philip closet without these clothes.

Sunny Sunday

A few days ago I decided to write a post about Philip's autumn closet.
I planned to finish writing it today but the weather surprised me.
I was waiting for sunny weather for a few days now because Philip's birthday is in two weeks and we want to do a birthday photo shoot  on the beach.
Today might be our last chance to do it so we run to the beache with balloons, hats, change of clothes and a lot of other fun stuff.
Tomorrow will be time to write a post about autumn wardrobe. Today is nothing like autumn.
So don't sit at home go and have fun outside. Enjoy while you still can.

Let's talk - Organization

Ok so let's talk "organization" today.
Cleaning is my worst nightmare. I have to literally force myself to do it.
I feel like this is never ending story especially when you have a two years old running around.
I rather do a million other things instead of cleaning but life is life and if something needs to be done it must be done - the end.
Organize my day helps me to be on top of things, have them done quicker in the right order so there is less mess and the cleaning gets easier.
And this is what works for me.

21 item toss - I read about this a few months ago and immediately wanted to try this. The idea is to get rid of 21 unwanted items from the house, it could be anything. I pick up a garbage bag, box, recycling bin and walk around the house until I find 21 things to throw away and believe me it gets more difficult every time:) Sometimes I focus on one area say kitchen and go through kitchen cabinets, drawers, pantry and fridge. Oh yes fridge counts too:) I divide these things into 3 categories: garbage, things for sale and things to donate to the charity. But it really doesn't matter what you do with them as far as they gone from your house. This is really easy way to slowly declutter and organize your home.

To-do list - Every morning I make myself a cup of coffee and sit down at the table this is the time when I'm doing my daily to-do list. I also have a weekly and monthly to-do list(I will say a little bit about those at different time).
This system works for me, I'm able to manage my time better and have more things done. Then on the end of the day when I cross the last position from the list I feel so satisfied. What's on my to-do list: these simple things like
laundry, dishes, prepare dinner, wash the floors but I also go through my calendar and writes there things like birthday, doctor appointment, vet appointment, etc. That way I have everything in one place.

60 seconds rule - I think that this is my favorite tip, it takes me only 60 seconds or less :) So the main rule is " If something in your life takes less then a minute do it now instead of procrastinating". It works with small things like: make the bed, put the shoes on their place, put away toys after you finish playing, clean up the table after eating, etc. With this rule the house is less cluttered at the end of the day. You can challenge yourself around the house and see what takes less than 60 seconds, I promise you'll be surprised how much you can accomplish in such short time.
